We would like to introduce the café, which was remodeled in 2021, at our main store in Uji.
Main café renovated for the first time in nearly 20 years
The main café was renovated in January 2021 for the first time in about 20 years.
The building is a former tea factory built in the Taisho era.
We have retained as much of the atmosphere and atmosphere of those days as possible, such as the large beams and pillars, and we hope you will enjoy an extraordinary yet nostalgic feeling.

The high ceilings and the vaulted roof that extends out one more level are used to keep the heat in during the tea making process.

A closer inspection of the store reveals remnants of the tea factory on some of the pillars.
The chalked notes are probably notes made at the time of tea making, and were not erased in the remodeling.

The lamps use retro bare bulbs, similar to how tea factories looked in those days.
The former tea factory building is a space quietly nestled beside us.
