This time, we will introduce a tea porridge that combines sweet and fluffy sweet potato with fragrant roasted green tea.

 

Sweet potato tea porridge

material:

Sweet potato…100g

Rice…1/2 cup

Hojicha…800ml

Black sesame seeds...1 tablespoon

Salt...a little bit

Grated ground ginger...a little to your liking

How to make:

  • Cut the sweet potato into bite-sized pieces and soak in water to remove the scum.

  • Make hojicha in a teapot and let it cool.
  • Wash the rice, put it in a pot, add the sweet potato with the bitterness removed and the cooled hojicha, and heat over high heat.
  • When the rice starts to boil, reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  • When the amount of water reaches about 1cm, turn off the heat and let it steep for 5 minutes. Add salt, black sesame seeds, and grated earthen ginger to adjust the taste.
