Finding the “Most Delicious” Tea for Your Moment
Hello everyone, I'm Keko, one of the online staff members.
One question we often hear is:
“Which tea tastes the best?”
It’s a tough one to answer—
but that’s also what makes tea so wonderful.
Because the “best” tea?
It changes.
It depends on the day, the time, the feeling.
There’s always a “just right” waiting somewhere in the moment.
Maybe it’s the tea you grew up drinking.
A familiar flavor from your region,
something your body already knows as comforting and good.
Or maybe it’s the tea you take the time to prepare with traditional tools—
quietly whisking it in your favorite bowl,
where the taste is wrapped in the rhythm of the ritual.
Maybe it’s the cup you drink while listening to your favorite song,
or laughing with a friend,
or simply feeling good and at peace.
A hot cup of roasted tea on a cold day, warming your hands.
A glass of chilled green tea on a hot afternoon.
A morning bowl of karigane (stem tea), bathed in sunlight.
Or a cup of smoky Kyobancha in the stillness of night.
Each is different.
Each is the best—for that time, for that feeling.
So when someone asks us “Which is the most delicious?”,
we gently say:
“It depends. Let’s talk about how you’d like to enjoy your tea.”
And if you're unsure where to begin,
try asking yourself:
“When, and how, do I want to enjoy this cup?”
That question usually leads you to the perfect tea for you—
at least for today.
