A sophisticated fusion of Japanese tea and craft gin
Hello everyone 😊 This is Keko from the online staff.

As the humid days of August settle in, a refreshing drink can bring a moment of calm and clarity.
Today, we’d like to share a recipe that captures the essence of early summer in a glass:

Shincha Gin & Tonic – a cool, fragrant cocktail blending the delicate aroma of first-harvest Japanese tea with botanical gin.

🌿 Recipe: Shincha Gin & Tonic
🔹 For the Shincha Base (enough for 3 drinks)
Shincha tea: 5g
Gin: 55ml
Let steep at room temperature for 20 minutes, then strain.

🔸 For 1 serving
Shincha base: 15ml
Syrup (e.g., simple syrup): 10ml
Sparkling water: 65ml
Ice: as desired

🥄 Instructions
1)Combine shincha leaves and gin, and let steep for 20 minutes at room temperature.

2)Strain out the tea leaves to create a clear, aromatic base.

3)In a glass, add ice, shincha base, and syrup.

4)Top with sparkling water and gently stir. Enjoy!

✨ Tips for Enjoyment
Add a twist of lime peel for a burst of brightness.

Pair it with quiet evenings and a gentle breeze for the perfect “Japanese aperitif.”

The herbal depth of gin and the green, grassy notes of shincha blend seamlessly—
creating a cocktail that feels like a walk through a mossy forest at dusk.
